OUR STORY
Welcome to the WanderSinghs. We are a family of four figuring out how to wander the world.
Our travel story began when Chuck and Tine met. Tine had a wandering soul and Chuck had a cautious tendency. It began with small trips to Mexico and Cuba. It grew to bigger trips to the Cook Islands, Tanzania/Kenya, and Thailand.
Then came our kids. When Jacob was born we were told we wouldn’t be able to travel. So we took him to Eastern Canada, and Western USA. We realized how portable little people were and when Sophie was born our first big adventure began.
We went to Europe for 20 weeks. During that time people said “but they won’t remember!” We said “We will remember and they will learn to travel. We travelled by planes, trains and automobiles. We house swapped, hotelled and stayed in Keycamps. We experienced museums, walked so many cities, hiked trails, explored beaches and saw every kind of kids playground. It was amazing!
This adventure showed us that travel with kids is different, but amazing. Experiencing things through their excitement is extraordinary. So we travelled. Paris, Australia, Cuba, Mexico, Canada, USA. We did these trips in the pockets of time off work.
Then we decided. Lets just go. So on July 8, 2018, our house rented for a year, retired from our Public Service jobs, we are going. Where to? Wherever we want!
